Garage Sale Promoting
For Quick And Easy Money

Weekends in the Spring and Summer, drive through your town and you will find dozens of garage, yard, appartment, and estates sales going on.
Pack up the kids for a day of garage sale shopping!
Most people at least once in their lifetime have gone to garage sales or drove past one.
In the Spring, people usually majorly clean their homes and gather their old junk. It maybe things they no longer need or they want to make more space in their home for new things by getting rid of it.
What a perfect opportunity, have a garage sale and make a profit on the old junk in your house. While you feel your stuff maybe junk, others may find it to be a treasure. So don't throw it away, sell it at your very own garage sale.
Most cases, people that have a weekend garage sale, not only make a nice profit, but get rid of the junk taking up needed space in their homes.
I have personally garage sale shopped and have had my own garage sales. Either way, work is involved but worth every minute.
If you haven't already done so, start going through your things or think about what you have that you really don't use or need anymore.
Look for old clothes, toys, furniture, kitchen items, decor items, books, tools, etc. Do you use these items anymore? I bet in most cases you don't need them. Especially with children, your kids grow out of clothes and stop playing with certain toys. The things you do not use or have outgrown, other people want them. Why not hold a garage sale and makes some money.
Once you have gathered your items, I would store them in a big pile in your garage, so when the day comes you are having your sale, it will be very easy to just open the garage door and put them on your drive way.
Pick a weekend that fits your family schedule and start getting advertising material ready. You may want to place an ad in your local paper, advertise on bulletin boards, put poster signs up on the street corners, and tell family and friends.
Garage sales can be profitable if you are prepared, ready, and organized.
IDEA 1: I know many people that have tons of junk in their houses. You ask them how come they haven't had a garage sale. They may reply they just don't have the time to organize and have one.
You can offer assistance and make a profit from selling their junk in your garage sale. You can ask them to give you their unwanted stuff and you sell it for them.
Ask them if they want you to price the items or if they want to do it themselves.
You would then agree on how much of the sales you will earn from selling their items.
I would make sure you keep a log of all their items, how much you are selling each thing for, and how much the item was sold for.
When the sale is over, you can take your log to your friend and tell them how much you made and give them their part of the money.
IDEA 2: Having a huge sub division garage sale is the way you can really make some cash!
I live near a large town where, once a year, a huge sub division holds a 100 house garage sale.
If you are the coordinator you can charge each house that wants to particpate, and you handle everything involved.
Every house in the area would want to participate because, they can sell their junk, they can sell other things like pop, chips, hotdogs, products they sell, promote their biz, etc. to a larger market.
Because this would be a large event, you would be advertising it in papers, at stores, on bulletin boards, etc.
You could get your advertising for free by making up your own flyers and having advertisers
