What is Direct Selling?

Direct selling is an excellent way to start a home business without starting one from scratch.
Direct selling is marketing a quality product directly to consumers through home parties, book parties, and websites.
There are literally thousands of men and women that have a direct selling home business. Direct selling gives the ability to have a home business, work at home, and make a nice income.
Direct selling opportunities, in most cases; are legitimate, known, have quality products, corporate run, and are safe. There are some companies that are not good companies. Check with the BBB, your friends, online email groups, and message boards to check out a company. Doing your homework will avoid you being ripped off.
There are hundreds of direct selling companies. Basically, any product type, I bet you can find in a direct sales opportunity. You will find products like bath and body, nutrition, candles, cosmetics, books, relaxation, kitchen products, home products, etc. The following are actual companies:
Tupperware
Avon
Herbal Life
Amway
Most direct selling companies furnish their representatives with a starter
kit and essential supplies to start their own home business. The starter kits usually have a fee. Why is there a fee? You are furnished with starter products, marketing and advertising tools, invoices and a training packet.
Because you are starting your own business, even though it isn't one you started from scratch, you are technically self employed. The business will issue you a 1099 at the end of the year of all the money they paid out to you.
And because it is your business, you can write off your expenses and the starter kit being one of them.
Because of my work @ home websites, I have meant many successful people doing direct sales. They are mainly women or husband and wife partners that I have meant online. It is exciting because they are making six figures a year or pretty darn close.
The Rewards of Direct Selling
1. You can be your own boss.
2. You can set your own hours.
3. You can own your own business with little or no investment.
4. You can pay yourself more than any boss would ever pay you.
5. You can work at home.
6. Work in your pajamas.
7. No commuting to and from a job.
9. You can make money from the people you sponsor.
In order to be successful in direct sales or any other home business, you
must work and you must invest time and money.
You will not grow and make any money if you do not do a thing. No one will know you have a home business if you don't market and advertise it.
Discipline yourself, be organized, set goals, and write down ideas and anything else important to be successful. You must take your direct selling home business very seriously.
Direct selling is an excellent opportunity for people who don't have the option to telecommute with an outside job, don't want to start their own home business from scratch or just to make money.
Direct selling is an excellent way to slowly transition yourself from working
outside the home to working at home. You can start out by working a few hours a week in your spare time to being financially able to quit your outside job and work full time out of your home.
No matter what you choose to do to work at home, direct selling is definitely an option to consider and explore! You may find yourself enjoying what you are doing and making a decent income at home.
